IPCEI on Microelectronics: UMS on board !

UMS’s CFO Guido Pahl showcased all the assets of our Franco-German company at IPCEI ME/CT

On Sept 18, in the frame of the event “Microelectronic: a key to transformation”, representatives from the 31 German #IPCEI* ME/CT** projects met with Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate action (BMWK) and high ranking government representatives, including Winfried Kretschmann and Michael Kretschmer, State Prime Ministers of Baden-Württemberg and Sachsen.

During the session at the #BMWK the strategic importance of IPCEI ME/CT and its mandate to strengthen the microelectronics and communication industry in Europe as part of Germany's ambition to enhance digital sovereignty in the semiconductor industry, was once again highlighted by the various speakers and government representatives.

Robert Habeck: "With a total of around four billion euros, we will support complex and investment-intensive development and innovation projects that will strengthen the microelectronics value chain and expand manufacturing in Germany. By doing so, Germany is making a decisive contribution to Europe's security of supply with semiconductors and chips. Numerous regions in Germany benefit from the funding, strengthen their competitiveness and create future-oriented jobs."

We at UMS - United Monolithic Semiconductors are proud to feature among the German innovation leaders of IPCEI ME/CT who will contribute to bring this vision to life.
