On June 20/21, a technical workshop was held by the EU EDF2021 project “European Innovative GaN Advanced Microwave Integration” (AGAMI_EURIGAMI) in Munich.
More than 80 researchers from the 34 project partners (from 12 different EU countries) participated to this important event – which was actually the first face-to-face gathering of the project partners after a long period of COVID-caused web-meetings.
The EDF project AGAMI_EURIGAMI covers the complete supply chain for advanced Gallium Nitride (GaN) RF components starting from epitaxy and device technology, over circuit design, up to packaging and integration of devices in modern electronic defence systems. The project focuses on the improvement of the technology and of the resilience against electrical and environmental threats. The final GaN components and devices will demonstrate an improved performance and protection of the devices in harsh environments.
The coordinator (United Monolithic Semiconductors GmbH) and the management team have prepared an agenda with 12 different workshop sessions with the clear ambition to fostering the cooperation between project members and facilitate work plan refinement.
